BRAINSTORMING
DO WE NEED A FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE IN THE WAY WE DO AND THINK ABOUT ART? Considering the state that arts and the world are in today, my answer is an unequivocal yes. However, before I go on any further, I would like to stress that in the light of present knowledge I believe that the answer to this question may lie right smack in the heart of the brain/mind apparatus. Still with an open mind, I invite you to participate in a discussion about the future of art The goal of these discussions is to find ways in which existing jaded concepts of art can be replaced with new and more relevant ones (what is relevant?). To go beyond these old concepts requires that we be forceful and uncompromising, therefore, cosmetic rearrangement of the present language or elements of art will not do.
